How do you choose a course?
To help you choose a course to meet your needs you need to think about the following:
- How do you learn best? Are you a practical or academic person.
- What are your estimated grades?
- What do you enjoy?
- What are your careers ideas?
When choosing a course be realistic, look at what’s involved in the course, will it be assessed by exams or coursework, how long will it take you to complete. You don’t want to be starting something that you may not finish.
Do some research on courses of interest and use the Area Wide Prospectus to find out what courses are available in your area. Once you have decided you will need to apply through the Common Application Process.
IMPORTANT! If you are planning to continue with your studies at sixth form and wish to stay at the same institution you will still need to apply through CAP
